Black★Rock Shooter -Pilot Edition- is a two-disc media package released in September 30, 2009.[1][2] The release featured two discs: a pilot of Black★Rock Shooter OVA in BD or DVD format, and a CD single featuring "Black★Rock Shooter 2M Mix" with "Hatsune Miku-soft voice-β version" vocal together as well as an instrumental version of the same song.[3][4]
As the basis for the OVA, much of the pilot animation is similar to the OVA, though some scenes are significantly different. It also featured Black★Rock Shooter and Dead Master, as well Mato Kuroi and Yomi Takanashi before they were officially introduced.
