The EXMATA (エクスマータ, Ekusumāta)[1][2] are mechanical entities featured in Black★Rock Shooter FRAGMENT.
Description[]
Manufactured by Innocent Cloud, the EXMATA serve as its primary weapon against humanity, which soon loses half of the world population to them.[3] These mechanical beings come in various shapes and sizes, and most are used in combat, but there are also exceptions, such as smaller EXMATA for utility roles, as well as humanoid EXMATA for espionage and sabotage.[4][5]
